If you already own the car, the charger question usually comes down to two things: what plug your EV uses, and how fast you actually need to refill overnight. A Tesla owner without an adapter typically wants a Tesla Wall Connector; most other EVs use the standard J1772 connector and pair with Generac, ChargePoint, Emporia or similar Level 2 units. Beyond brand, the only real spec question is amperage - a higher-amperage charger refills a large battery faster overnight, but only matters if your panel has the capacity to support it.
